My Boys... Optimus, Sox and Woobies...

I just want to share a part of my personal life aside from reading, reviewing and samples.

Below are photos of my babies...

Ever since I was 20 or so I have lived on my own and had a pet. My first was Patches (my profile picture) and when she was just a little over one she got pregnant the day before her scheduled 'fix' day. So she didn't get fixed until the day after, Bear was born. So for almost 16 years Patches was my friend, companion and roommate. I lost her Feb 8, 2012 - she got ill very quickly and I had the choice of putting her on meds for the rest of her life or going to be with my relatives that have passed. I chose to latter.  A little over a year later shy of his 16th birthday I had to put her son to rest. So the two of them are reunited until I can be with them again...

Here's there photo;

When I first moved to my house there used to be this orange cat that came around from August til about Christmas time or so. It was skinny and I felt bad for it. So in my side hallway I would let him/her in and give food and water. This went on for a few months, one day I didn't see it anymore. I was worried it had died because it was a cold winter (2004-2005). But come April of 2005 she/he was back, so as I had done the year before I got the food and water put it down and opened the door. Only to find the cutest kitten I think I had ever seen. I named him right on the spot. He was black and white but he's feet looked as though he were wearing black and white socks the black being at the heel. I named him Sox right away. He was (and still is) adorable. He turned 9 this year and since I don't know the exact date of his birth - he is my Valentine! :)  When you see his photo you will probably suspect as I do that his father was a ferrel cat. Sox hardly eats anything and he goes outside and runs around like crazy but he's still a big boy!  Here he is...

Four years ago we had tenants that we needed to evict from the apartment in the basement. When I went down to clean it out there was a box stuffed in the closet a total of 9 cats 6 being kittens were left and abandoned. I was able to find homes for all of them except for two. My niece Serena named one "Optimus Prime" - she was 10 at the time and I named the other Chase but as he began to grow I never called him Chase because when he meowed he did this - Woew nose so I just started calling him Woobies. If I call him Chase he looks around wondering who I'm speaking to. He grew up being called Woobies and so it sticks. These twin brothers are inseparable. My three boys are the true sense in brotherhood. They stick together. When I lost my Mom last month they stayed right with me...  Check out these youtube videos of Optimus - he actually OPENS the vent covers and climbs inside... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49vH3sLnN7M  Too cute!  Here are the two boys now;
